New student registration will take place in the Guidance Office between 8am and 2:30pm.
 

We look forward to hearing from you and working with you.  We do our best to respond to emails and voicemails within 24-48 hours as we know your questions and concerns are important.   

2018-19 REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Current 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will be meeting with counselors throughout February and early March to submit their course requests for the 2018-19 school year.  Students will be informed of their registration date and time by their English teacher.  A registration make up day will be held in early March for any student who misses their initial day and time.  

 

Students interested in advanced course options and upper level elective courses will need to gain prior teacher approval using the “Advanced Options Approval Form”.  This form is due at that time of registration and has been provided to all interested students.  

 

Course cards will be reviewed with students at the time of registration.  Students are not required to have the card filled out prior but may review them ahead of time if they are interested.  Please also take the time to review the graduation requirements as you consider your courses.

As a reminder, once requests are entered into Focus, students will be able to view their requests by changing the school year to 2018-19.  All courses are subject to availability, with graduation requirement course needs taking first priority.  See below for more information regarding schedule change requests. 

Requesting a Schedule Change for the 2018-2019 School Year

ATTENTION STUDENTS: Please use this form to request a change to your courses for the 18-19 school year.  As a reminder, your courses can be viewed in your student portal in Focus by changing the school year to 18-19 and selecting the drop down for "View All Programs", then selecting "Class Requests".  This form WILL CLOSE ON MAY 31, 2018, as all requests must be submitted by then in order to be up for consideration.  Schedule changes will be done in the best interest of the student with graduation requirements taking priority.  If you are requesting the addition of a course that requires prior teacher approval, then be sure to submit that verification prior to May 31, 2018 as well.  Should you have any questions please don't hesitate to email your counselor.

Summer School (17-18) Sign-Ups

ATTENTION STUDENTS: Please use the link below to indicate your interest in signing up for ONE OR BOTH SESSIONS of summer school.  The first session of summer school begins June 11 and the second session begins July 9.  At most two courses can be remediated, one during the first session and one during the second.  Attendance is mandatory, with no absences permitted.  THE LINK TO SIGN UP WILL REMAIN OPEN THROUGH FRIDAY, MAY 4.  CONFIRMATION LETTERS OF YOUR SUMMER SCHOOL ATTENDANCE WILL BE MAILED HOME BY THE DISTRICT IN MAY.

ATTENTION SENIORS: In anticipation of the upcoming Senior Honors Night, we would like to recognize any and all seniors who have received a scholarship award. New Student Information

Students enrolling at Pine Forest High School should have the following documents available:

  • A copy of current IEP or 504 if applicable.
  • The student being enrolled needs to be present.
  • Transcript of grades from last school with the grading scale.
  • Numerical withdrawal grades if enrolling after the school year has begun.
  • Copy of birth certificate and social security card.
  • Current physical (from in state or out of state)
  • Florida Certification of Immunization (DH Form 680):  This form must be signed by a Florida physician or clinic.
  • A physical and certification of immunization must be obtained within 30 days after enrolling in school.
  • Proof of Residence: Gulf Power Bill, ECUA Bill, Lease agreement or a Rent Receipt with the parent’s name and address listed.

Teen Peer applications are being accepted for this summer’s Kids for Camp summer learning lab, June 18- July 24. Teens can select one-week commitments or more when submitting an application.

FOCUS: Focus Parent Portal is the district's portal for grades, assignments, GPA, graduation status, teacher contact and more.  On the PFHS home page, click on the big red dot titled FOCUS in the upper left corner, enter the username and your password to obtain access.

  • Use this link to access registration instructions and helpful tips for first time Parent Portal users.

 

Parent-Teacher conferences: We encourage high school students to work with teachers for extra help or assistance and to communicate with teachers. Please use this valuable resource- your teachers are here for you!
