2006-2007

THERE ARE NO EXEMPTIONS FOR SEMESTER EXAMS

An exam must be taken in order to receive credit in a course.

Students who do not take the exam will receive a “1” for the exam grade and a “1” for the semester grade.

Semester Credit/10-Day Absence Rule

Students who have 10 or more absences, either excused or unexcused, must pass the semester exam in order to receive credit for the course. Suspensions count as unexcused absences. If the student passes the exam, he/she receives the grade earned. If the student fails the exam and the semester average is a failing grade, then the student receives the grade earned. If the student fails the exam but has a semester average above “60,” the student should be awarded a “59” average for the semester.

NO EXAMS WILL BE GIVEN EARLY. MAKE-UP DAYS ARE JANUARY 5TH AND JANUARY 8TH.

First Semester Exams

PLEASE NOTE:
There are NO exemptions for the First Semester Exams. ALL students will take ALL exams.

Students who are absent for 10 days or more regardless of the status of the absence are required by state law to take AND PASS their exams in order to receive credit for the course for that semester.
