Cell Phone Use During the School Day

The Escambia County School Board has voted to update the cell phone policy that was in effect last year. "Students are permitted to possess wireless communications devices such as cellular telephones and pagers while on school property or in attendance at school functions; however, the use of such devices from a student's arrival on school district property (including school buses) until the final dismissal bell is prohibited. Such devices must be turned off for the duration of the school day."
