Orchestra I
This course develops musicianship skills in music ensembles on Orchestral instruments.
Orchestra II
This course extends musicianship and ensemble experiences on orchestral instruments
Prerequisite: Orchestra I
Orchestra III
This course provides instruction in the development of technical skills through
the study of varied orchestral literature.
Prerequisite: Orchestra II
Orchestra IV
This course provides students with instruction in the application of musicianship
and technical skills through the study of varied orchestral literature.
Prerequisite: Orchestra III
Special Note: Enrollment in Orchestra I-IV carries with it a requirement of
membership in the Escamiba County Youth Orchestra, beginning in Orchestra I.
When the string
educators determine that the skill levels are adequate, students will begin
to attend the rehearsals which occur outside of the regular school time/day.
Orchestra V
This course develops independence in musicianship, performance techniques and
aesthetic awareness through the rehearsal and performance of varied orchestral
literature.
Prerequisite: Orchestra IV
Orchestra VI
This course foster internalization of independence in musicianship, performance
techniques, and aesthetic awareness through rehearsal and performance of varied
orchestral literature.
Prerequisite: Orchestra V
