About Me

I am a former graduate of Pine Forest High School, Class of 1985. I am a business technology Instructor who currently teaches Cyber Security Essentials,  Computer Network Security Fundamentals, Operational Cyber Security and  Computer Fundamentals. I am married and I have five sons and 4 granddaughters. I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Masters in Business Administration/Technology Management and a dual Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Business Administration.  I have eleven years experience teaching various technology courses.  

Cyber Security Academy

Computer and Networking Security Fundamentals Course- introduces students to cybersecurity and provides them with essential computer and networking knowledge and skills, particularly those related to cyber security

 

Cyber Security Essentials Course-provides students with insight into the many variations of vulnerabilities, attack mechanisms, intrusion detection systems, and some methods of mitigate cybersecurity risks, including certificate services and cryptographic systems.

 

Operational Cyber Security Course- This course provides students with insight into the many ways in which computer systems can be secured, countermeasures implemented, and risk assessment performed.

 

Cybersecurity Planning & Analysis- This course focuses on the mitigation planning, disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and forensic analysis associated with securing computer environments.  Many of the standards covered in this framework are based on or aligned with guidelines published by the Computer Security Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). 

AP Computer Science Principles

Course offers a multidisciplinary approach to teaching the underlying principles of computation. The course will introduce students to the creative aspects of programming, abstractions, algorithms, large data sets, the Internet, cybersecurity concerns, and computing impacts.
